Will you consider donating a portion of your profits to Newburyport Pride? yes no The Festival will take place from approximately 12:45p - 4p and the set-up time frame is between 9 - 11a on Saturday June 1. Newburyport Pride requests that each Vendor or Non-profit organization have one person designated as the “festival contact”. They are responsible for working with the Festival Committee on their group’s setup and overseeing the participation of their group. 2. You are strongly encouraged to use Signs/Banners/Logos for your group; however, we ask that you please be respectful – no messages of hate or shame towards peoples of different views, no offensive or adult language, and try to keep messaging positive and uplifting. 3. Remember, this is an all-ages, family-friendly event. Please plan to dress and act accordingly. 4. Newburyport Pride is committed to creating a space that supports equal access and nondiscrimination for all persons, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, age, perceived or actual sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression, marital status, national origin, veteran status, or disability. Please partner with us to consider the design of your space and your interaction with participants to be as inclusive as possible including, but not limited to, avoiding gendering others, respecting people’s names and pronouns, and avoiding harmful, stereotyping, and othering language of any kind. 5. Please keep your booth within the allotted 12’ x 12’ space. Your tent can be no larger than 10' x 10'. You are prohibited from using spikes or anything that penetrates the ground. Be respectful of other vendors’ booths. Please also be aware that the Veteran’s Memorial area in Brown Square is off-limits for the Pride Festival and should be respected. 6. Please do not engage any hostile protestors. They may be there, but please respect their freedom of speech. If you have concerns for your safety, please reach out to festival organizers, volunteers from the Wolfe Club, and/or Newburyport Police. 7. No alcohol or drug use is permitted during the festival. The festival will be a non-smoking event as well. 8. There are restroom facilities available at Newburyport City Hall building, but there will not be port-a-potty facilities in Brown Square. Please plan accordingly 9. Vendors & nonprofits should plan to arrive between at 9-11 am and set-up should end no later than 11.30 am so that volunteers may get to the beginning of the parade route at Bartlett Mall. 10. Nothing can be left in the festival area at Brown Square. Please bring everything with you (including trash). 11. Bullhorns, megaphones and confetti are prohibited. 12. There will be a DJ and possibly performers on one end of Brown Square. Individual booths should not plan to play music as part of their set-up. Also, there will be “sensory-aware hour” from 3-4 pm, which we ask everyone to be aware of and honor. Check to Agree Hold Harmless & Release * In consideration of participation in the Newburyport Pride Festival, I hereby release and forever discharge Newburyport Pride, the City, its officers, agents, employees and representatives from any and all actions, demands and whatsoever in law or equity that the undersigned, its successors or assigns, ever had, now have, or may have in the future in connection with the undersigned's participation in this event. Priority will be given to queer-owned businesses and organizations, local non-profits and local businesses. Completing this form is not a guarantee of getting a space at the Festival.
